Gynecology
As a woman, your body’s chemistry is consistently changing. It’s important women take care of their reproductive and sexual health to avoid conditions that may cause complications in the future, including menstrual irregularities, abnormal cervical cells, and ovarian cysts. The expert gynecologists at Wooster Community Hospital are proud to offer comprehensive, individualized care to women in Wooster and the neighboring communities of Ohio, providing them with a trusted source who truly understands their bodies.
Comprehensive Medical Care for Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health
At Wooster Community Hospital, we offer comprehensive, full-service medical care for all of a woman’s sexual and reproductive health needs. It is recommended that all women, from puberty on, have an annual gynecological checkup, often referred to as the well-woman exam. Well-woman exams are also recommended to women who are currently experiencing or have experienced menopause, as the reproductive system still needs to be cared for despite hormonal changes.
A well-woman exam typically involves a full pelvic exam, a Pap smear, and a breast exam. During these examinations, your provider will work to detect any abnormalities that may lead to further problems down the road. If you do have an abnormal test, like abnormal cervical cells in your Pap exam or a lump in your breast, your provider will develop a personalized treatment plan to help you restore your health once again. Your provider will also be able to provide you with the tools and resources you need to keep your health in check for the long term.
