Wooster Cancer Care oncology services, part of Bloomington Medical Services, is an affiliate of Wooster Community Hospital Health System. The practice provides expert, compassionate care to individuals who have received a life-changing cancer diagnosis.

Wooster Community Hospital is proud to be affiliated, since 2013, with The James Cancer Network at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC–James). The affiliation brings cancer treatments, including radiation oncology, and oncology provider expertise, to the Wayne County community - close to home.

Our cancer center includes 17 private or semi-private wellness suites (infusion bays). It promises a truly therapeutic environment for patients and families undergoing cancer treatment.

Our Cancer Care Services

In addition, Wooster Cancer Care strives to bring patients the most accurate, safe, and efficient approaches to cancer treatment, including Prone positioning radiation treatment for breast cancer treatment.  Receiving radiation treatment while lying on the stomach has been shown to direct radiation away from the heart and lungs, helping to protect those vital organs while undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

At Wooster Cancer Care, we use a special positioning board (designed at the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center) for patients undergoing prone radiation therapy.
