VO2 Max
VO2 Max measures a person’s aerobic capacity. VO2 Max measurements include the rate at which oxygen can be used by the heart, lungs, and muscles. Identifying and improving a person’s level of VO2 Max is the single best predictor of cardiovascular fitness and aerobic endurance. Your VO2 Max levels will be compared against your age, gender, and fitness level to determine your health and overall aerobic abilities.
Lactate Threshold
Your lactate threshold measures how quickly lactate accumulates in the muscles and blood. If you can perform within your personal lactate threshold, you can maintain aerobic effort with greater ease. On the other hand, if lactate builds up faster than your body can absorb it, you’re more likely to experience muscle fatigue. This threshold is used to identify an athlete’s potential and develop training zones to maximize the effects of training and improve athletic performance. Gait Abnormalities
We use video gait analysis to identify movement and muscle-activity abnormalities. By noting inefficiencies, our athletic trainers can develop a custom-tailored program to improve a person’s sports performance.
